Briar is the new expression on the ever-curious path of Daniel Romano.

There are forces in this symbolic world that arise to protect the spirit. To endure any privation of love in one’s life-time. This privation is a “false force” often called: evil, but more adequately called: fear. It is not a force in itself but a deficiency of the highest force in the universe: Love. Order does not choose disorder, this misalignment occurs when one has lost their harmonic coherence. Where Love is absolute, fear is relative. Love is the Logos.

The Briar is the symbol of duality. It is the Mother Tree that brings forth the soul and protects it in a cover of thorns. The soul’s journey is to collapse this duality through polarity inversion into a higher harmonic state. The Briar is the guardian of sacred knowledge, that is not amassed as “information” but is eternal and waiting to be remembered.

Aeterna Memoria Rosae Crucis (Eternal Memory Rose Cross).

This mantra opens the work to re-cognize the eternal field from which we come from and return to, and the finite body (cross) we have to nourish and grow the eternal part-whole that dwells at our centre (rose).

The work is a testament to the deeply sacred qualities of music. It was wholly conjured through “instant intuition” and silent listening. No thoughts, no questions, just flowing with the breath of the cosmic—lost between the air and sky—but I’m gonna fly. Serious, like singing, curious of our next beginning. It is imperfect and asymmetrical (as the universe).

The singing method and harmonic arrangements developed from utilizing the Seven Egyptian Vowels. These are sacred vocal tones, each corresponding to a divine principle (Unity, Oneness, Intuition, Vision, Expression, Truth, Love, Compassion, Will, Creativity, et al). Like a living alphabet that sings one’s field into deep coherence. When singing with coherence, it amplifies intention and opens channels for divine communication. It was the author’s (Daniel Romano) intent to attain this clarity to the best of his ability so that it may be redistributed to the listener. It was recorded on an eight track cassette machine with a royer 121 and a sennheiser 409. It was mixed down to a two track marantz cassette machine by Daniel Romano. It was mastered by Kristian Montano.

The work is made up of sacrificial songs. In the original etymological sense— to be made sacred. These songs are intended to illuminate the potentiality of the age (Aquarius). They are a commitment to bide the kairotic moment (as we exit the piscean age of boundaries and egodriven values) and move into our time of cosmic ordnance. With the rise of collective consciousness, we will speak the language of the heavens, dissolve boundaries, act with compassion, and cultivate the spirit. “Follow the water bearer”

The Briar reminds us that polarities are not opposites, they are a unified field, and with coherence and balance we can radically transform. We can move from separation to union; from ego to soul; from dogma to Gnosis; and embrace our inherent interconnectedness.
